Customize your app homepage
You can personalize your homepage with widgets so that forms, dashboards and reports you use on a regular basis are easily accessible. From the app homepage, select the Customize homepage button. If you already have a personalized homepage, you can find the Customize homepage button at the bottom of the Home screen. You can also access it by going to Settings > App preferences > Customize homepage.
The widgets that you may have access to include:
Any widgets that are currently on your homepage are listed under Active widgets and any that are not in use are listed under Inactive widgets. To activate a widget, tap the widget or press and drag the icon on the right of the widget name to the Active widgets section. You can rearrange the order of widgets with the same gesture and drop it into the correct position. Tap Save to update your selections.
Adding favourite event forms and dashboards
If enabled for your role, you can choose any number of event forms or dashboards as favorites. If the Favorite event forms or Favorite dashboards homepage widgets are active, your favorites will show up as items on your Home screen to make it easier for you to access them.
To set favorites while customizing the homepage, select the Edit button next to the widget name. If a Smartabase administrator has already set favorites for you, you will see them listed under Favorited. To set favorites for yourself, search for the form or dashboard with the search box or select it from the list of More dashboards or Event forms. Tap the + icon next to the form or dashboard name to set it as a favorite.
To rearrange the order of your favorites, press and drag the icon on the right of the event or dashboard name to a new location.
To remove a favorite, tap the - icon next to the form or dashboard.
After making any changes, ensure to select the Save button. The button will be shown in green if there are any unsaved changes. To cancel your changes and return to the home screen, select the back icon.
If you do not have any favorites, you will be able to add them from the home screen by clicking the Add favorite event forms or Add favorite dashboards button.
View saved reports
If you are a professional user, saved reports and front page reports that were generated in Smartabase Online can be accessed through the Reports tab. Alternatively, you can view the reports on the home screen with the Reports widget.
Switch groups
If you are a coach of one or more groups, the Current group widget allows you to view the current group and switch to a different group. The widget will display the name of the group that is loaded and the number of people in that group. Select the Switch button to view the groups you have access to.
Groups are denoted by a folder icon; tap the group to view the people in that group or to view its sub-groups. By default, groups will be displayed as a list but you can switch to a grid layout by tapping the icon or updating your app preferences in Settings > App preferences > toggle on Display switch groups as a grid.
The search bar allows you to look up a group or athlete that you have access to. This may be particularly useful if you have access to lots of groups and are unsure which group someone is in.
To load the selected group, select the Load button at the bottom of the screen. All people within that group and its sub-groups (if any) will be loaded.
If navigating through multiple sub-groups, the trail of parent groups are shown across the screen which you can swipe through. You can select a group name within the trail bar to go back to a previous group.
